Kelli Summey has a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor.About Kelli
Kelli has specialized training in the treatment of trauma, specifically in evidenced-based practices such as EMDR, Brainspotting, and Progressive Counting method. She also has specialized training in working with mothers around pregnancy, birth trauma, and postpartum care.
Kelli has been practicing since 2015 and has worked in private practice, residential, and outpatient settings, providing individual and group counseling. As a result of this experience, she counsels with the belief that experiences from the past influence current struggles.
Her work with individuals from a wide range of experiences has given her a unique perspective while providing counseling. Her desire is to help individuals find freedom from areas in life where they feel stuck. Specifically, her goal in counseling is to meet you where you are, help you identify your innate strengths, and learn how the things you have been through in the past have influenced you. She desires to create a safe space where you can move towards healing and restoration.
Kelli’s experience has equipped her to work with individuals who have struggled with past traumatic experiences, abuse, pregnancy and postpartum concerns, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and other relational concerns. She utilizes a trauma informed, strengths based approach when counseling incorporating theories such as internal family systems and other trauma informed approaches. She utilizes an individualized approach to meet the needs of each client exactly where they are.
Kelli provides training and consultation to organizations and non-profits primarily focused on working with individuals with a history of trauma. The training she provides most frequently include Trauma- Informed Care, Strength-Based Approaches, Boundaries, and Burnout Prevention and Care. Kelli is passionate about providing training and education for those who walk along survivors of complex trauma.
Therapy Cost
$175 per 50-minute session. Ash Tree Center does not accept insurance, a sliding scale may be available to those with financial needs.
